Año nuevo, vida nueva y un gracias

Честита/Среќна нова година! Happy New Year! Frohes neues Jahr! ¡Feliz año nuevo!

Okay, this publication will be in English. However, as you probably guessed, I’ve been learning Spanish for some time now. This is true mainly because I found out about the existence of Duolingo and Anki.

Duolingo is a free service that helps you learn languages with your friends while simultaneously contributing to translate real-world content from the Web. Source: http://duolingo.com/

Anki is a program which makes remembering things easy. Because it is a lot more efficient than traditional study methods, you can either greatly decrease your time spent studying, or greatly increase the amount you learn. Anyone who needs to remember things in their daily life can benefit from Anki. Since it is content-agnostic and supports images, audio, videos and scientific markup (via LaTeX), the possibilities are endless. Source: http://ankisrs.net/

So I would like to thank the authors of those two services as well as everyone in the community who contributes with shared decks (Anki) and translations, ratings and/or forum posts (Duolingo). Thank you to all the inspiring people I’ve met either virtually or in person during the last year. I hope you have all the success you need for your causes… and some more after that. And last but not least: thanks to all the people that have helped me somehow or have asked for my help. Probably I wasn’t able to resolve all your issues, but I hope I got you further. It’s always been a pleasure for me as well.

Oh, I almost forgot! A special greeting for my readers fluent in Serbian, Croatian, Slovenian and Russian. I will continue reading a number texts in your languages, so keep creating them. All the best!

Срећна нова година! Sretna nova godina! Srečno novo leto!
