Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman duet at 2011 Tony Awards

Two great actors – Neil Patrick Harris and Hugh Jackman duetting tremendously at the 65th Tony Awards ceremony, which was held on June 12, 2011 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City, and broadcasted on CBS television.

The Antoinette Perry Award for Excellence in Theatre is considered the highest U.S. theatre honor, the New York theatre industry's equivalent to the Academy Awards (Oscars) for motion pictures, the Grammy Awards for music and the Emmy Awards for television, the George Foster Peabody Awards for excellence in radio and television broadcasting, and the Laurence Olivier Award for West End theatre in England.

Neil Patrick Harris, most commonly identified with the womaniser Barney Stinson (and Dr. John Stangel as well :p) from the American sitcom “How I Met Your Mother”, has also hosted the 63rd Tony Awards on June 7, 2009 and the 61st Primetime Emmy Awards on September 20, 2009. He was named as one of TIME magazine's 100 most influential people in 2010. A year ago from now, that is in June 2010, it was announced that Harris would receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011.

Hugh Jackman, on the contrary, is known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, as well as for his lead, amongst others, in “Van Helsing” and “The Prestige”. Jackman is a singer, dancer, and actor in stage musicals, and won a Tony Award for his role in The Boy from Oz. A three-time host of the Tony Awards, winning an Emmy Award for one of these appearances, Jackman also hosted the 81st Academy Awards on February 22, 2009.
